It was an awesome trip! We dived every day (seven days total) and, overall, we did 115 dives using our two club RIBs. 17 club members dived one or more days over the week, and the boats worked very well. We found a wreck we didn’t know existed near the James Fennel (SS Barmston we think). We saw some great underwater life (conger, nudibranch, sun fish, seals, lobsters, crabs, big schools of pouting etc etc). Here’s an exotic Leopard Spotted Goby:
.
Plus there were Nudibranchs (Sea slugs to some):

We had the widest range of weather I think I’ve ever experienced in a dive week: fog, gales, rain, endless sunshine, thunderstorms, flat clam seas, F5/7 gales, cool days, blisteringly hot days etc.
Alastair holds the record for diving every possible dive (13 in total), closely followed by Ian B, Oscar and me (who all did 12 dives). Thanks to Steve B and Shaun for being boatmen and Ian B for towing. Thank to Clare, Judy (Joe’s wife) and caravan 1 for some great meals.
Jim holds the record for losing the most dive gear. Oscar holds the record for putting up a DSMB with too short a line (and almost causing me to drown laughing). Jemima holds the record for putting up a DSMB and it joining us again at 10m (only about a thimbleful of air in the buoy and almost causing me to drown laughing).
Here’s a video taken by Oscar diving the James fennel, The British Inventor, Durdle Door reef, and The Spaniard:

A great week: lots of laughs, lots of great memories and a great bunch of dive buddies.
