We held a try-dive event for 20 young people at Crown Pools at the weekend. 
This was, in part, to celebrate our club’s 70th birthday.
Crown Pools allowed us to use the pool for free (Crown Pools – Ipswich Fit) (Thank you)
Diveline (Home – Diveline) loaned us some small BCDs and cylinders (Thank you)
Mick Figge (Eastern Region) represented BSAC (Thanks Mick) and BSAC provided us with some certificates and keepsakes (Thank you BSAC) (Home – British Sub-Aqua Club).
Many club members gave their time to help organise and staff the event. Thank you for those divers who led the youngsters through their first steps in diving:
All the children had a great time and proved to be budding divers! We also thoroughly enjoyed the event – it was great to see all the children enjoying themselves and, in some cases, overcoming their misgivings to dive with us.
