Alan, Beau and myself, Clive, trekked up to Weybourne the first week of August and dived the Rosalie.
As always, the walk along the beach was a challenge but we left plenty of time. There was no real current running 1.5h after Cromer HW but a little more wind from the east than forecast made the swim out uncomfortable. Vis was a milky 3-4m – apparently quite good so far this season. Beau made a new friend – a particularly inquisitive seal that followed us around.
Unfortunately, a 50min dive is not really long enough to catch the eastwards flow tide back to the car park so we had another long walk. The most elegant walk out backwards I have managed so far!
Apart from Alan losing his 40 year old dive knife and I a dive glove, we had a very pleasant dive.
Below are a few images of some of the life that covers this wreck.
The season for Weybourne extends throughout August and September so more opportunities await!
